(Yeah…yeah I know…been crazy busy) Here’s a WBPM NetRADIO update:
I’ve been looking at the demographic data for the station. Very interesting. And Ironic. WBPM NetRADIO has had people who are portrayed in the news as mortal blood enemies listening to the same music on here at the same time. Go figure.
So I have to ask:
If you all can agree on the beats why can’t you folks agree not to beat shoot, stab and basically blow each other the f*ck up? Just sayin’. Don’t get mad at me if you realize you’ve been played.
And to all you beautifully talented artists out there who’ve sent music or questions about/for submissions…
If you have music to submit please please please look up at the top of the page to get info on how to submit your music. It really is important. I have one buckethead (not the group) send me a file that was infected. Nope not doing that no more. Send the CD with theMP3 or WAVE on board and some kinda bio information.
Oh, and here’s a little experiment…
If you go to the beach. Walk out on the sand and look closely if you see little specks of color, look closely and see if it is plastic or not. Then do me a favor and let me know where you spotted it at. Heard something real interesting on the radio earlier about pollution and plastic. Dude says its on every beach everywhere. I’m curious. So, humor me okay?
Okay now to the really important stuff:
This week features a set that starts off kinda relaxed then at some point (I ain’t warning ya) takes it up a few notches. It will be playing Friday and over the Weekend at various times so check the schedule. I want to see what happens (it’s about that demographic thing I mentioned earlier). The set has a variety of cuts. Genres include Reggae, House Music, R&B, Jazz, Chill Grooves, World Beat and a few surprises. A more “mature” set? Depends on how well you listen.
Been thinking about this a lot lately. End of this month the license for the station needs to be renewed. Debating going VIP only (yeah..the demographic business again), It would help to cover the cost of the music etc. But I note that there are a few of you who listen non-stop for hours each day (even through those horrid commercials – I dunno how you stand it) who are not VIPs and I’m wondering if you realize that you are really missing the real flow of the sets because of the previously mentioned commercial interruptions. I’m still juggling this mess around in my big head so if you have a thought ..now would be nice to let it be known.
Stay sane, I have to go make some money.
Peace,
DJ
