It’s nearly the end of another sweltering week… (And they smirked at the term “global warming” Ha!)

Just wanted to drop a few words on ya.

The latest set is streaming now featuring some Reggae, Bachata and House mixes plus a number of cuts from back in the day (very melodical ones I might add). This set is a more “genre” blending” in nature so don’t be surprised how you will hear Buju Banton, Shabba Ranks, Soul II Soul, The O’Jays, Brothers Johnson, Prince, George Duke, Cheb Tarik, Common, A Tribe Call Quest, Jill Scott, Dred Stock, Mutabaruka, Parliament, Whodini, One Way, The Temptations, Cameo, Raydio (remember Ray Parker? One of the best guitarists!), Anthony Santos, Amp Fiddler, Tony Lee, Ovasoul7, Gotan Project, Ron Basejam, The Demetrios Project, Marques Wyatt as the sneak into your speakers. Okay?

I played Crystal Waters’ last.

Read on to learn why….

I was sitting at a light wondering how many gallons of gas my A/C was sucking up with all this heat out there. They say it was in the nineties. I’m thinking triple digits. Idly glancing around the intersection I noticed this woman sitting on the median with a water bottle.

She was trying to sell it to make some change. I got to thinking “Jeez, that’s gotta be brutal.” Especially since the drivers of the cars right next to her seemed to not even acknowledge her even being there. (I was about six cars back).

She looked like she could really use a few sales. It was obvious that she and her competitors on the other medians had all seen better times. I got to thinking about “these times…”

The driver behind me honked his horn … the light had changed and the cars ahead of me were just starting to move (some people…yanno?). Soooo…

I stopped and brought two bottles. One for me and one for the “jackalope” behind me. I asked the lady selling the water to take one back to the guy behind me with a message…

“Chill the fuck out and take a blink.”
