Cameo
It’s been hot as you know what down here!
Now the rainy season is kicking in a with a vengeance! Now, after so many weeks without a drop out of the sky, the clouds have been rolling in and opening up. So what’s been up? Here’s what…
New sets have been rolling through the stream non-stop now.
I hope you’ve had a chance to sample some of Wa’ D’s Sets during “The Jazz” breaks on Tuesday nights. Just in case didn’t, portions will play throughout the week so keep your ears peeled. I heard some really great stuff. Nice really nice. Brother definitely feels the flow. You will appreciate his knack for pulling out the good stuff and dropping it just at the right time. Here’s very abbreviated list of some of the artists that he’s been playing:
Spyro Gyra, Bobby Womack, Jeff Lorber, Billy Cobham, Alphonse Mouzon, Rodney Jordan, N-Groove, Henry Johnson, Donald Byrd, Everett Harp, Gemini Soul, Wolfgang Haffner, Lonnie Liston Smith, Ronnie Foster, Lessette Wilson, Paul Taylor and Hiroshima. Just to name a few!
Later today another set comes online. There’s more but I’m not going to give it all away except to tease you with some music from a number of prolific bands. Mandrill, G.C.S., Funkadelic and The Blackbyrds to name a small few.
Okay, okay you twisted my arm…
At the very top is a never heard before remix of Cameo’s “Skin I’m In” with a twist of J-Boogie dusted on followed by a taste of the GAP Band’s “I don’t Believe You Want To Get Up and Dance“. That’s going to lead into an interesting blend of Janet J’s Nasty (Cool Summer Mix) and Slope’s Funk. There’s more but I’m not saying (too much typin’ man!)
Tune in and listen (A Lot!!) and drop us a line and let us know what you think okay?
Peace,
DJ
