Okay,

Seems that some of you really like some of the Jazz cuts I’ve dropped in. The set that is playing now includes Jazz for generations. For some of you a few of the songs might even go back as far as your great-grandparents. Not really that hard to imagine for some of the teen listeners out there right? That set will repeat and it includes Roy Ayers, Kool & The Gang, Urban Knights, Soulive, Bobby Hutcherson, Me’Shell NdegeOcello, George Duke, The Crusaders and Dominoes and  UFO (nice vocals). I also dropped in a cut that I heard as the soundtrack to a movie from back in the 70s. Cult Classic Heavy Traffic from 1973 combined Live and animated action and takes place in New York City. If you get the chance sit and check it out. (It was rated X when it came out…now that would probably get you an maybe “R” hahahah!!) Anyway the song stuck in my head. (Sidenote: It seems the song is about “The Plague” as in Black Plague that whacked the living doo-doo out of Middle Aged Europe so long ago … go figure…).

Right behind that set (which will be ending within the hour actually), I’ve added another set of remixes that includes the likes of Matthew Bandy, Marques Wyatt, Vision, Dennis Ferrer, Home & Garden (Lisa Shaw makes an appearance on this cut), Kathy Brown, Miguel Migs, Royal House (okay that mix is nice!!!), Kim English (wish her a happy birthday), Jay Tripwire (2012 is tight man!!), I did some playing around with The Nervous Track (can’t get that cut out of my head). There’s 42 cuts and they are all mixed into each other…Then I took it down just a knotch…the next two hours of the set includes The Isleys, Melaaz, Yellowman, Bobby Lyle, Smokey Robinson, Carlinhos Brown, Moss, Sweetback, Praful ultimately rolling into Pete Rock’s “Take the D Train” (Used to do that often! from The Bronx to Coney Island!)

So I want you to stay sane and enjoy the flow of the music.

Peace,

DJ
