Tha’ Jazzz…

Omar Hakim
Hey!
Talking about 5 hrs of Wa’ D’s goodies. Tha’ Jazz… Some interesting stuff in the latest set. A good set to check out if you like hearing songs with some serious Bass lines or are an aspiring drummer looking to check out some deep drum cuts. Or maybe if you are into Jazz music made by some of the legends but never played enough if at all. Actually there are performances on a number of instruments in this set that will catch your ears and tap your foot.Want to hear what you don’t hear on local radio? As usual, this is the place to be!
Too many artists to list here but I did want to note Jamaica Queens’ own Omar Hakim and Miles, Marcus (Miller & Johnson), Robin Duhe, Joyce Cooling, Gemini Soul, Gail Jhonson, Urban Jazz Coalition, James Vargas, Lonnie Liston Smith, Wilton Felder (of Crusaders fame), Althea Rene, The New Jersey Kings, Grover Washington Jr., Cabo Frio, Michael “Patches” Stewart, Normal Brown, Dee Brown, Michael White, and a lot of others you need to hear from are in there. Tune in tonight until midnight eastern for the first run. If you like music, you need to check this set out and yes it has “the flow”. Over 60 cuts here so if you miss “that” song you’ll just have to wait until Saturday when it plays again okay? (hint: 7am Eastern to 12 Noon)

Sylvia
Now I know you’ve heard about the moving on of Sylvia Robinson a true Hip hop Pioneer. We’re working on a little graphic to show just how prolific her career was and how she’s placed in the world of music. Some might be surprised to learn what this sister was able to accomplish while here. Obviously those who knew her wouldn’t. So in that direction we will be presenting a nice little graphic for you to download and reflect upon.
(You know I’m sick of writing about people catching the bus ride to the sky right?)
